The World is Music and Harmony Many different sources reveal that our world is sung into existence. The Indian Vedas, for instance, conceive of a Goddess...who sings the world into creation. Western culture abides by the Latin word for breath - Spiritus while religions use "The Saint Spirit". Yes, indeed, Spiritus or human breath plays the instrument of nature. As the human being breathes, all particles in the body or tissues vibrate. They are stretched in a cycle of vibrational attunement to Nature and the Cosmos. The same vibrational coherence is taking place on all lvels, including the cellular and molecular ones. Every organ and every cell stretches and modulates its own musical pitch. Breathing is lengthening the tissue (organ, cell, molecule)to the relevant keynote of resonance with what the ancients have called "the Air element". Thus through the keynote Air, life force steppes down from the subtle universal elements into embodiment. Then in a quantum fashion the inhalation baloons the tissue into the radiant keynote of the creative potency of the solar Fire element. Next in the cycle of breath is a still-point, where inner and outer forces come into balance with the Earth element. Then the tissue contracts again into resonance with the lunar keynote of the Water element. There is no musical instrument more perfect than the human body. Indeed the human body... like all of nature... is a great musical instrument - each and every cell in it. Speaking (and singing) is a sacred primordial act of creation. The sacred knowledge of the ancients reveals sound as the medium of Creation. Through sound humans focus intention into manifestation. Breath is the psycho-physical nexus. Breath is the vehicle through which thought and intention are expressed as sound. Breath as the carrier of the intelligent life force, is the link between mind and body... The ancients understood this and used these secrets wisely. A major difference between western and eastern cultures is the concept of the Creator. Western culture (and religions) believe in God as the sole Creator of ALL THAT HAS EXISTED, EXISTS AND SHALL EXIST. The Eastern tradition holds the view that God is creating by embodying himself in MAN. Modern science has re-discovered many of these ancient secrets. This is one more reason for the acceleration of the current process of synthesis of ancient knowledge and modern science on the basis of the understanding that VIBRATION and SOUND are primal sources of ENERGY and human beings can act as conscious co-creators.
