THE POWER OF LOVE Everything in the world lives in Love and by Love. Everything that we see - stellar systems, suns, planets - they all are manifestations of Love. It is the key which opens everything that is closed... When you feel the entire creation in harmony as something united in the moment, that is Love. Everyone who loves you has an impulse from God and if they remain true to that impulse, they are blessed. Whenever you receive Love, that is an impulse from God. The feeling of forgiveness comes out of Love. Only Love forgives. A thought, a feeling, a deed created with Love is successful. When two beings Love one another - each one observes the rights of the other one. Love displays purity and mercy. You should always live in Love, in conscious unconditional Love. Love has many manifestations and sex or physical love is one of them. Why Are We So Preoccupied with Sex? In the spiritual world, the soul is united with the Light, and this union is called - coupling. It constitutes the unification of two parts of creation - male and female, and is the greatest pleasure that can ever be - the soul being filled by the Light of the Creator. This spiritual coupling also has a branch or copy in the physical world, the world of matter. This is why we are so preoccupied with sex - it is the ultimate pleasure in this world, and the root of all of our desires in this world. Sex is the basis of all our thoughts, because its root is the soul's union with the Creator. This union is the final goal of Nature, and everything that happens in the world is determined by the final goal. This is why we just can't avoid thinking about sex. Our attraction to the opposite sex and to pleasure also come from this final state - the adhesion with the Creator, called (never-ending sexual union). The pleasure we feel from sex is a perfect example of the difference between physical and spiritual pleasure. We spend so much time and effort thinking about sex, and we imagine that it will give us enormous pleasure, but in fact our pleasure vanishes into thin air the minute we reach the peak of sexual satisfaction. What does the Story of Adam and Eve Mean in Our Times? Our ego is the snake that prevents us from being able to love someone else. The meaning behind the story of Adam, Eve and the snake is actually very simple. The snake represents the ego that became revealed between Adam and Eve, the man and the woman. And that's really all there is to the story. For example, suppose that a happy, young couple falls in love.They hug, kiss and laugh together, go to the movies and the beach. Then they get married and begin living together, and everything is wonderful. They're in the Garden of Eden. Andsuddenly - the snake (the ego) arrives. They suddenly begin arguing. Then they begin taking advantage of each other and making private calculations, such as "How can I get him/her tobe the way I want them to be?" This happens to us because the snake (the ego that's inside us) prevents us from being able to love someone else, and makes sure that our love is egoistic fromthe start. Under these circumstances, the closest we can come tolove is to surrender our egos in day to day life as much as we can. However, this still doesn't solve the problem at the root,and does not enable us to experience real, unconditional love. As we continue advancing toward correction and spirituality, we will understand this more and build a good future filled with trust and loyalty. Now this sounds outright naive and utopian. In our current reality it is difficult to see and understand how it can really happen. How many people realize the final goal of Nature or the spiritual roots of sex? Do they make any difference between physical sex and spiritual sex? Do they get any helpful advice on sexual power? Social prejudices obstruct the sharing of knowledge and experience on this vital topic. It is hard to talk about sex and maintain any dignity. Sex is often perceived as something hidden, dirty and forbidden. Although that’s exactly what makes it so interesting, it’s what brings so much violence into it and why it is misused. Religion has greatly contributed to this unhappy state of affairs. Other cultures have not imposed similar taboos. Sex is considered crucial as a form of energy patronized by sages all over the world like Vatsayan, Osho and in mythologies of the Egyptians, Greeks, Aztecs etc. Male semen has been attributed with hidden healing powers. Because of this supreme form of energy, there are beautiful flowers and tasty fruits in Nature and it is this grandeur, which poets try to depict in their lyrics. Sex has also played a very significant role in evolution through which involves genes and chromosomes as this can only occur through sexual reproduction. In Indian culture sex is accepted as a sacred act of creation. When the goddess Shakhti, embodying the feminine, and the god Shiva, embodying the masculine, are joined as one in their fusion, the cosmos is born. The cosmos is born out of an erotic union between the male and the female. A famous disciple of Osho (Indian seer) - Margo Anand has called sexual fusion "a much more juicy perspective than the one that tells us to honor the prophet who was nailed on the cross to redeem our sins." This is, she goes on revealing religious hypocricy, spirituality based on pain and punishment. Love and sex are not a sin but a natural and enjoyable basis of life. Tantric (spiritual) sex is a path like yoga or zen. Tantra is considered a door to enlightenment which is reconditioning the human body, mind and soul. Sex is a skillful means, among others, that we use to awaken spiritually. There is no more challenging meditation than the sexual meditation, because in the sexual meditation, everything comes up: your timidity, your self-doubt, your lack of self-esteem, your lack of trust, all your past experiences that condition you to fear Love. Here is what the teacher Osho has said on meditation and the spiritual role of sex: "Every religion is against me. Their profession depends on condemning love and praising meditation. They know you cannot attain to meditation, and they know now your love is condemned, it is a sin. You will never experience any orgasmic phenomenon, so meditation will remain just a philosophy, and your life will remain loveless, angry, full of rage, ready to explode at any excuse. Because where will your energy go?It could have become peace, silence, joy, blissfulness. You did not allow it to become that. That repressed energy turns into poison. That's why everybody is irritable, annoyed, worried, tense. The simple reason is that they have lost the natural source of relaxation. No animal looks irritated, annoyed, angry, because they don't understand the language the priests speak. Animals have never heard that celibacy is spiritual. Of course they cannot attain to meditation, but they are far better than those human beings who could have attained meditative heights, but have lost even the simple biological experience of orgasm. What actually happens when one couple moves into the realm of orgasmic experience? What actually happens? Every point has to be understood. Time stops. For a moment the pendulum does not move, and that single moment seems to be almost eternity. The two persons are no more two ― for a moment. They have melted into each other. There is no thought in the mind, for a moment. It is all empty and silent, and these are the things which have to be deepened in meditation. And once you have tasted them, you will be surprised that it does not depend on the other person. Something happens within you. Something happens within the other person. But it is not dependent. If you can sit silently, if you can manage, by watching your thoughts, to bring a gap, a stop, you will suddenly see time has stopped again. And now it is in your hands, not in the hands of biology. You can keep this time stopped as long as you want. And once you know the secret key.... Critical views on sex are also abundant. Some of them are focused on one of the major negative social effects of free sex - it has led us to an enormous world population of 7 Billion - a heavy burden on the natural resources of our planet. However, tantric sex is precisely the path to solving this problem... The subject of sex and the taboos related to it is too important to be left partially covered.
