Enlarged Thyroid goiter

I was diagnosed with a thyroid goiter at 18yrs old. It's the biggest it's ever been. I shrunk it from 4.3cm down to 3.1cm by myself in 4 months along with 60mg of armour thyroid medicine. My own theory is that if I suppress it further with armour thyroid, iron supplementation (325mg 3x wk, and 450mg iodine and tostia sponga combo it will return to its normal size/state without incidence of cancer. My mother has overactive thyroid. I also avoid foods with goitergens and other chemicals. Am I on the right track?. Right now I'm trying to stay alive to save my friend's dying son. Any opinion you may have would be greatly appreciated. I've been putting off surgery for years. Thanks a million.
