Mind-brain-connection

One of the most important predictions of the Bulgarian prophetess Vanga is about a hot topic - World War III in 2010. However, this page is not dedicated to this. It is focused on the rare phenomena of telepathy and clairvoyance, in particular the extra-ordinary qualities of Vanga. I have chosen one of the countless articles about her because it is an ample demonstration of the Brain-Mind-Soul connection and the role of Universal Intelligence in human life. The author Prof. I. Manev is a friend and colleague of mine. He has contributed this article to the Russian Academy of Philosophy Journal at the end of 2009. The full text is available on their website. While I appreciate his contribution and views highly, I have to state that I do not share his conclusions completely.

Mr. I. Manev knew Vang personally and worked personally with her for a long time. He is one of the many witnesses who have confirmed beyond any doubt her rare telepathic and clairvoyant qualities. The question explored in the article is how did an ordinary uneducated person like Vanga understand all foreign languages. Who was this extraordinary woman?

The extraordinary and phenomenal Bulgarian clairvoyant Vanga was born in 1911 in Strumica, now located on the territory of Macedonia. She passed away in 1996. Most of her life was spent in the Bulgarian town of Petrich and a part of it in sacred mountain village by the name of Rupite. Without complete or accurate statistics we can assume that in the course of about 55 years the prophetess Vanga was visited by more than 300 thousand people - Bulgarians and foreigners, intellectuals and politicians, suffering patients or brokenhearted ordinary people who came to her in search of hope and salvation. She never returned anyone and always helped patients for free, except for a few years when local authorities decided to charge a small fee.

Vangelia Pandeva Gushterova, known as Baba Vanga

was born prematurely as a very weak child, but in spite of this she quickly gained strength. She was given the name "Vangelia" which means "bearer of the Gospel". One of her nieces Krasimira Stoyanova published a book about Vanga in 1989. It is from this book that a very important detail of the life of Vanga became widely known. At the age of 12 Vanga was in a field. Suddenly a terrible storm broke out. The sky darkened, and a terrible hurricane uprooted her into the sky. This monstrous storm rolled Vanga about 2 kilometers into the field. After a long search the child was found by relatives buried in stones and branches. She was frantic with fear; More frightening was the cruel pain caused by the dust in her eyes. Vanga underwent two operations but they failed to restore her sight. A few years later she was struck by illness again. Everyone was preparing for her funeral when her position suddenly became stable, and she stood up. on nogi4. It is at this time in her life that her clairvoyant capabilities appeared for the first time. At the beginning of 1940 Vanga anticipated that within a year war would come to their region. She appealed to fellow citizens to give a ritual meal in the church to save their town Strumica from destruction. In early 1941, Nazi Germany invaded Yugoslavia and Greece, indeed, and a year later her prophecy was fulfilled. An interesting episode was her meeting with then Bulgarian king Boris III. Vanga revealed another important prediction to him - the defeat of Nazi Germany by the Soviet Union, although at that time no one anticipated that Germany treacherously attacked the Soviet Union. At that time Vanga was quoting names of mobilized men, of those who would return alive from the front and those who would suffer misfortune. Her capabilities and prophecies spread out quickly. Hundreds of people started visiting her. Vanga advised them on many everyday problems. Praised as a healer of various diseases often considered to be incurable, she recommended medicinal herbs and therapeutic procedures that gave amazing results. Vanga was able to name places where people could find lost pets or items. Thus Vanga acquired her legendary fame. There are many books and articles about Vanga’s prophecies and life. Scientists, politicians and ordinary people from around the world went to her for help or advice.

How did Vanga understand and converse with Bulgarians and foreigners alike?

Here is a short description of the way Vanga worked as quoted by her niece: "At a time when a person appears before me, I feel that my mind opens a window through which I start watching pictures and this person’s life unfolds before my eyes like a film, then I hear a "voice" from above… Vanga was able to "read" the minds of foreigners without any problem or language barrier. The most clear-cut explanation of how she could understand any unfamiliar language has been provided by a senior Bulgarian scientist from the Institute of philosophy I. Stoev. In his article, "Vanga - new knowledge of the world", I. Stoev asked Vanga: "Aunt Vanga, come all foreigners come to you: Americans, Greeks, Russians, Germans. You do not speak their languages but you know what they say?" Vanga gave the following reply:
"They speak in their own language, I understand what they say – not their words but thought. I reply in my language and they receive it translated".

Prof. I. Manev has done some special research on this subject in the article mentioned above. He explains: "When a foreigner speaks to Vanga his words reach her ear as sounds via the vibration of molecules. However, she does not understand any word of foreigner’s language. She hears an inside voice in Bulgarian. Her brain is registering the thoughts of the foreigner in a telepathic way in her subconscious and memory bio-fields that are present in every human. Then Vanga hears an inner voice – the translated foreigner’s thoughts - and replies in her own language". Further on Prof. I. Manev quotes a few real life examples from recorded meetings of Vanga with a number of foreigners – Russians, Indians, Germans, etc.

The most interesting and valuable part is contained in his conclusions, provided in summary below.

Conclusion

All information received in the memory of a person’s brain is immediately transferred into the memory bio-field. However, information transfers in the reverse direction - from the memory bio-field down to a person’s brain memory - are blocked. If this would happen, every human would be capable to "listen" to the thoughts of every other human being who might be thinking of him at this moment in the form of a voice inside his head, irrespective of any distance. Such voices would stand in the way of human thinking and physical activities. The human species would degenerate. This is why Nature has created in the course of evolution such a protective barrier - the blockage of information transfer from memory and subconscious bio-fields to the memory in the physical brain! For this reason it is extremely difficult to inflict damage on this mechanism. Cases of its damage are very rare. Vanga is an example of such a rare case…

This brief summary leads me to a few interesting associations.

Two of the most important, in my view, are the following:

1. The division of languages and language barriers.

There is a claim in a number of religious texts, especially those related to the Babylonian Tower, that God decided to punish people by the division of languages. Another one is the story with Moses who was ordered by God to throw his staff on the ground and it turned into a serpent. And the most famous and widely know but misinterpreted story is in the Christian Bible: Adam and Eve were expelled from Heaven after they tasted the forbidden fruit, tempted again by the serpent…The forbidden fruit was the Tree of Knowledge...

Well, to me these acts do not look like a punishment but rather a warning and protection. Do you remember how your father used to slap you gently when you were a curious child plugging your finger in the socket? This is precisely what God meant by these acts - to protect his children you from dangers! The division of languages was just another protective device for the feeble human brain which could be ruined if all the information from the Global Mind was transmitted to it!

2. The mechanism of Faith

Faith is one more example of the "blockage of information transfer from memory and subconscious bio-fields to the memory in the physical brain" to prevent unrepairable damage!

Scientifically minded readers – and these are the majority of present day people, especially the young – are taught that faith is ignorance and that both faith and ignorance have been misused by all religions for the purpose of mind control. Unfortunately enough, there is abundant evidence that organized religion has really done this. However, why should we accept religion, church and faith as one and the same thing? Why not perceive of the mechanism of faith as one of the all powerful natural or Divine laws?

This mechanism has played and is playing the role of another strong protective fuse against the dangers of the Tree of knowledge (and the tricks of the "logical" brain), helping humanity, especially the uneducated part of it.

Imagine the impossible

I admit, these hypotheses are brave and far fetched. You might not believe in them. However, if you choose to follow this line of thinking, you might come across many other similar examples. I would appreciate any comment or contribution from you.
